;w; T-this is a day that is very important to me, as someone who has been through bullying all my life. Luckily for me, romance/sexuality isn't really my personal thing, so I was not bullied for this reason. I was bullied for aesthetic reasons mostly, for being the only girl in school with red hair and for being chubby. In elementary school kids would cut my hair and make fun of me, and they'd hit me on the head with water bottles on the bus rides to school. TvT I have grown to be strong though, and I know that haters gonna' hate and I should not waste my time with people so cruel and intolerant. Regardless of what they may say about me, I know that bullies are the weak ones deep inside.
;w; Things really do get better...you just have to stay positive and believe in yourself and not what other people assume.
TvT B-but anyways, enough about me. The drawing.
;__; I know that Spirit day often talks about acceptance for gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered people, but rarely does the topic of more obscure types of love come into the mix.
In case you don't know, I'm a firm believer that love is not defined by age, gender, looks, relationship, or by number and etcetera. Which means that YES, I do support polyamory and NO I do not feel that it is any less of "love" than monogamy. You can love more than one person at one time for different reasons or in different ways. Nothing says that there is one type of love that everyone feels, or that it is exclusive to only one person. It is just how we often think, but it does not mean it is the "right" or "only" way of thinking. Relationships can be more than just sex and procreation which people often forget. A relationship that consists of more than two people who share an extremely close and committed relationship is in my opinion not wrong in any context. Nor do I think it is shameful in the least.
There is no shame in love. Do not let anyone tell you your love is wrong just because it is different.
These three are my OCs, Etzel (left, boy), Shu (middle, boy), and Calliope (right, girl), and yes, they are a trio. ;__; I thought today would be a good idea to share this, if it wasn't obvious before. They are still "children" so their relationship is of course only beginning to bloom, but regardless their trio is based upon so much more than just romance. They are like gears in a clock that when together make it tick just right.....
;___; I really wanted to draw something more elaborate, but I ran out of time so....yeah. OTL
