Sunspots by BlueRoseArkelle Sunspots by BlueRoseArkelle
Just nonsenseing around, don't mind me. ;__;

My OC, Faustus.
He's my lucky charm, and for some random reason I feel like I need luck as of late. So Faustus. ;__;

FAUSTUS. Y U LOOK SO MATURE?! :iconwhyyounoplz:
You are not supposed to look mature afskdhdfks
;___; I don't understand why I draw all my mature characters too shota/loli and all my more shota/loli characters too mature. //slaps self

Testing out some dip pens and ink.....
.__. And I've learned that it doesn't matter what tool I use. I stil hate inking. OTL

//blah
xD Also yeah lol, Faustus doesn't really do a lot of fighting because its not really a good idea to spar with someone who can burn you at the slightest touch unless you want to be charred alive. But as a last resort, Faustus will end a battle when it needs to be stopped....by swinging around a ridiculously oversized blade also hot enough to burn anything it touches.
.___. Goodbye surrounding environment, it was nice knowing you.

Also on a side note, It never really hit me until now how sad of a character Faustus is. Everything he loves is right next to him, but he can't touch them or he'll just destroy them. The flowers, the falling snow, his trio- all the things he loves the most he can't hold in his hands. But I also see that he is a very strong and restrained person too, always admiring his loves from afar and preventing the destructive temptations. Its easy to put yourself first and not think of consequences until they happen, but I guess when the consequences are so high like with Faustus, you learn to become a restrained type of person. Its a little perversely funny, how a character who has an unreal amount of luck can be so unlucky in certain things....

TvT Its such an amazing feeling to me...to create characters and over time learn so much about them that I didn't know before. Even though they aren't real or tangible, OCs still grow so much.

Wow this is just beautiful, I always adore your works, because there always breathtaking no wonder I see you have a fanclub! Your works are wonderful:heart:

I love your use of the beautiful tradi media. You do it so beautifully and grace with much experience.

He's so lovely, I love the detail in his hair. and everything else

That's really quite a cunndrum when you draw your mature characters the opposite, I to have a bit of that issue, It's really crazy the way that works.

Oo You used dip pens on this, what type of Dip pens? ^^ Is this how you got the lines to look so thin and straight?

Eek o.o but I can understand him not wanting to fight against that. I like how he'll fight when he has to, but not if he's like provoked or anything.

I like, his background and finding out more about him It's neat learning about other people's characters~!

You have such a creative mind, a beautiful craft and love for them and it shows in your work, and how you talk about them, it's really beautiful to see.:heart:

Even though his story is really sad it's also very bittersweet in a way and it's still beautiful because he finds them so dear but b because he will hurt them he doesn't want to? He could be selfish and not care if they get hurt at all but he really cares about them alot which is why he doesn't do it.

Admiring your loves from afar and preventing misfortunes that's a very...deep beautiful yet strictly sorrow filled type of sad feelings.

Yeah, I think that intouch you are with your characters and how characters CREATE themselves not necessarily that you create them they just start to have a much bigger mind and scope and mean so much more then you actually thought is a very powerful and wonderful thing to have.

I really love the colours you used in this, and just everything is very beautifully crafted, and linearted. I love how you drew his face and alll the amazing details you put in it
KEEP up the good work.

QAQ T-thank you so much omg you are to nice...!! :heart:

>v> Hehe, yessu! Someone was kind enough to make me a fanclub randomly! xD So crazy!

TvT Haha, you have that problem too? When you draw your character too mature/childish? asdfgh I do it all the time! Agh, rage I hate when I do thaaaaatttt D:<
//shot
;w; And yessu! Dip Pens! xD I actually used all three nibs I have, the Maru, G-pen, and Turnip pen. Though I used the Maru pen mostly, especially for those tiiiiiiiny lines in the hair and stuff. ;A; its so resistant though! I kept thinking I would tear the paper! Q~Q

;A; B-but thank you so much...! I love learning about other peoples characters too! Its so awesome to me when I see others who put a lot of time and thought into them as I try to do.
;__; And yeah...its like that! Like, he restrains himself from making mistakes to protect the things he loves. Its really very selfless and sweet, which is a little funny to me because he doesn't act like the "sweet" type, but it is beautiful to me to see characters who are more deep than they appear or who have hidden softness TvT :heart:

TvT But yeah...its so crazy to me....sometimes my characters just sit there doing absolutely nothing in my brain and then BAM! I just see them or think of them in a different way. I wasn't even trying or anything, but its like they continue to move even as I sit still, even if I don't notice it for a while...if that makes sense.

Yourrrr very welcomeeeeee youuuur super nice tooo ^^!:heart:

Yeyyyy! Nah you deserve the club you silly:heart:

YES...like...if I have a character I want to look more mature they come off my childish and vise versa is it's so annoying XD;; But I guess it's because I'm not used to recreating the same symmetry of there faces? IKR e.e; I was drawing my matureish character just a while ago and I'm like..dude..she's not supposed to look like a loli face egad. But maybe its something to keep working on e.e;!

How long have you been working on using dip pens to get better at them?? I can finally afford tradi works ;^; now, so I can get tradi media now, and I was wondering about how to use the dip pens. What type of paper do you use?

Oooo okay! Thank you for getting into more detail with them oxo! Makes me be a bit more sure about whether or not to get them or not.

Your very welcome my dearrr, I agree it's just.....fun man? XD I can't explain it, I love the creativity that others have, and I love when it's shared because it's just amazing how other people can create characters from a world they created. I love that. I agree its just as I love creating such characters it's awesome to see that in others as well.

Yeah it really is selfless and sweet. Yeahh I love seeing that in character. I have a character that seems like she would probably do a lot of backstabbing. But she holds a lot of morals, and cares for her friends like her family! So I love the hidden depth of characters.

Yeah isn't that the coolest?? when that happens? They just create there own inspiration for a type of drawing. THAT completely makes sense. Like there creating images in your head for your to create and sparking an inspiration.

So beautiful!! I love how it's so shiny!!! :D :D

I'm so sorry for asking, but could you give me some tips on chalk pastels? I just got my 48 set, and they're really fun to use, but I'm not that good at blending and stuff like that. Whenever I try to color in a character, it smears all over. =_=.
I hope I didn't bother you or anything! ^^'

And thanks so much for posting your art, you are pretty much the person who is the most inspirational to me. Whenever I look at your pieces, I always feel like drawing!! :hug: :D :D

>//v//> Aww, thank you...!!!

;v; Ohh well yes, chalk pastels are very messy. Its one of their downsides. I really don't recommend using them for shading in small intricate parts of a drawing because its so easy for them to smear and mess it up. However, a good way to use them in small spaces is to get blending sticks/tortillions and dip the tip of them into the pastel dust and then color with the stick. xD Its what I do for tiny spaces. xD Also make sure to color the areas away from your drawing hand first. So if you draw with your right hand like me, start coloring from the top left corner and work your way over to the right so you won't accidentally smear it with your hand as it rests. ^v^ Really, chalk pastels are the best for glowy effects and overlay~

;A; A-and ah you are too nice, really. TvT I'm glad I inspire you!!
