OH MY GAWD I AM SO SORRY THIS IS SO OVERDUE. I AM THE WORST FREIND EVER ASDFGH
T-this is a commission for the nicest and most awesome person ever, ~SirenFae ;~; Oh gawd I feel sooo baaaad making you wait so long.... adhkashdkja I do not deserve your friendship
;~; A-anyway I hope I got Sorel's character remotely close. I'm so bad at text refs OTL And I hope you like it. ;n; I kid you not I re-drew the entire design and concept over and over again probably 7 or 8 times before I settled at this one. >~< I-I'm working on the rest too I promise! Again, sorry i'm such a terrible person OTL
;v; Uhm, so yeah, a reeeeeaaalllllyyyy overdue commission for the most awesome person ever <3
>u< Watercolors! c: For those of you who watch my Youtube channel, you were there watching me as I made this.
;n; Its weird....I was so intensely nervous for the longest time about using watercolors for no real reason. I'm ultimately glad I took my time because I think this turned out much better than it would have if I had forced myself to do it months ago, but at the same time I don't know what my problem was. Watercolors are so much fun to work with @v@ Even if I'm not very good at the them yet, they are a lot of fun <3 c: I wasn't nervous at all once I got to painting. In fact, I sort of felt like I knew what I was doing despite only using watercolors two or three times prior. xD Recording myself helped also I think. I didn't want to look intensely stupid and watercolor-arrogant for all of Youtube to see.
Q~Q Of course, I probably still seem pretty arrogant. I mean I have no idea how to draw animals and yet I did it anyways. I have no business doing that. OTL
Q~Q B-but i'm going to shut up now and stop with the self-criticism. You guys are always so nice to me and say I shouldn't be so hard on myself, so I'm trying to be more confident.
; v ; I actually, legitimately like this. I like how this turned out a lot <3 I hope it somewhat makes up for the super long wait, if only a little bit. ^^ And the same goes for my watchers here on deviantart. Sorry I haven't been posting much legitimate things lately, but I'm trying my best to make more intricate and complex things and take my time on them so I can improve ; w ; So hopefully this makes up for that time a little bit too~ >u< Something else legitimate will be on its way here soon too because i've been working on it slowly at the same time as this.
; u ; T-thank you all for always being so kind and supporting me, even if I don't deserve it

How'd you do the outlines? With a pencil only? Looks like it to me and if it was that, I think it was a good idea.
I just love Sorel's face. She looks like she genuienly cares about those animals, and I love her skin as well. And the texture of her dress! So leafy. I'm a sucker for fantasy and nature. I really like those trees you faded into background, too. And the fact you used red for the flowers and green for the background and Sorel.
Now, as if I knew anything about drawing animals, but... Those squirrels look good to me! Especially that one sitting in a tree, with its round cheeks The deer next to Sorel seems to have a tad bit long legs, but otherwise it looks just fine, too You've colored all the animals really well with watercolor and I love the deer's brown eyes and big ears
^^ Yes, just pencil~ xD I never use any kind of ink to lineart when I use watercolor. Even though Copic is waterproof....I had a terrible incident with a regular pen and ink a while back and now refuse to use in with watercolor anymore xD haha~
;w; Aww, thank you!~ I'm glad you like! ;v; I also really like her leafy dress~ >u< Haha, yes fantasy and nature is a great theme to work with~ c: And yay, i'm glad the animals don't look too horrible! xD
