"Hahaha sleep with the fishes, I get it! ... ... Wait.... that means... OH. ...oh. .... I get it. "
+10 to INT if you get it //shot xD
My OC, Rem. He is a young boy
TwT Months later I finally finished this .....and my scanner killed it haha i'm going to go cry in the corner now I had originally drew this for a one-day challenge a few months ago, but yeaaaaah that didn't happen. And then I got mad at it, like I do with a lot of my art, and shoved it in a folder where all sketches and lineart i'm mad at go to die xD //shot Also Happy New Year!! QvQ ....this drawing has nothing to do with that though xD
T//3//T Err, but yeah. If you know about my OC, Rem, then yeah....i'm sorry for the sad feels. Right in the kokoro, I know. T//~//T
TwT I'll post the video for the coloring sometime in the next few days~
God i absolutely love your coloring skills! I just have to ask, have you done any recent watercolor pictures? I would love to see that again! Your pictures with the deer in the forest were absolutely stunning!
Also love this picture, don't send him to the fishes! He's too darn cute!
xD Hahaha "Sleep with the fishes" is a metaphor for death. There are a few references or variants of the phrase used throughout classic literature, but is most commonly known from the movie "The Godfather". The phrase is now commonly used when someone is drowned maliciously or their body dumped in the ocean etc., but is also just another way to say that someone is dead. In this case, it is a bit of cruel irony for Rem, because should he fall asleep he would "die". He also compares his existence to that of a goldfish in a fishbowl; a confined and torturous existence that he must continue living. So, because he relates his life to that of a fish and sleeping would essentially "kill" him, "sleeping with the fishes" has a bit of an extra poetically tragic meaning for him.
TwT Haha, its hard to explain, but easy to understand with context I hope~
