...But i'm a little late this year OTL
;u; Wanted to draw something for Spirit Day again this year. ;//~//; Sorry for being late though asdfghjkl so busy I can't even- and no I don't just mean busy with Pokemanz unfortunately OTL
If you don't know what Spirit Day is, it is a day when you wear the color purple to show your support for the efforts against bullying, more specifically in regards to the LGBT/LGBTQIA community.
;//~//; As someone who has been bullied for most of my life, I'm very passionate about putting a stop to it, especially in regards to bullying over things that should be human freedoms. I myself have not faced bullying in regards to sexuality or gender identity (more for aesthetic reasons), but there are many, many people who do and my heart aches for all the people who do. I'm sure it goes without saying that I'm a firm believer that gender does not define people in exclusivity and gender does not play a part in what I define as the meaning of love. Remember that we are all human beings, no matter how our lives and choices may differ. At the end of the day, no one person's life should be considered worth more or less simply by whom they choose to love or what gender they may identify with. Remember that you do not have to make the same choices as them, nor do you have to like their decisions, but it is simple human decency to not torment or belittle others for pursuing their own happiness especially when it is of no consequence to that of your own.
T//v//T Anyways, just a simple drawing~ It is of my OC, Euclid. Without being too overly spoilery, the reason why I chose to draw Euclid is because he/she struggles with gender identity, specifically as a result of the influence of human gender roles upon him/her as a member of a species that does not have any. o3o Though i'm sure even though I haven't mentioned this before it wasn't like a super unexpected thing to mention, but you know. I shall not say specifically why or to what extent as of yet, but yes~
TuT There is symbolism and stuff in the drawing that might explain things better if elaborated but i'll just leave it at that because I suck at explaining and yeah~ >3> Also yes I know Orchids don't grow exactly like that CREATIVE LIBERTIES. I CALL CREATIVE LIBERTIESSSS //shot
xD Also lol this will probably be the only time ever that you'll see Euclid's legs. SO ENJOY THEM imeanwhat- //shot
My Unitrios characters have a very different idea of provocativeness/indecency/unattractiveness in regards to the body, and the legs are one of those things. Traditionally they wear long skirt-like or some sort of fabric things to completely cover the lower half of their bodies, from hips to the floor. The separation in between and harsh movement of the legs while walking is considered ungraceful and highly unattractive in their culture, while the top half of the body can be completely exposed for both genders and it is perfectly acceptable (though the majority of females are flat-chested or almost so yeah, you know). Euclid heavily follows this tradition of dress, so pretty much unless he/she is completely naked you will never ever ever see any legs xD
