TvT F-finally finished this nonsense.....Im working on the coloring video for Youtube now~
;v; Uhm, so yeah, I want to keep this description as simple as possible.
TvT These are my two OCs, Shu (blue) and Reysol (red). If you know me, then you probably already know about these two and their relationship. If not, read dramatic textwall here to get the basic idea: [link]
;__; Uhm, so basically, Shu and Reysol have very different perspectives. While Shu is intuitive and innocent, Reysol is moral and ethical. Their differing sides caused their relationship to tear apart, each "forever stuck on one side of a chess board". In the end, neither one could fully accept the others perspective.
But really, their feelings in the end weren't so different. Nor did they realize that when you take your stance on a chessboard, despite what color you represent you will always walk the path of your opposite. Black to white, white to black. In the end, it doesn't matter what you represent, you still fight on the same field to win the same goal. But sometimes you can become so lost in winning that you can't see that irony.
Also, personally speaking, I don't believe anything is "black and white". Even in chess, the black walks the white and the white walks the black. Nothing is so simple as "right and wrong", and if people take a moment to look at things this way, they can see that their ideals are not so different. The "black/white" mentality of point-blank judgement and assumption is one of the most repulsive things I have ever witnessed in my existence. Nothing is so simple and when you choose to see it as so all you do is create pain and hate. The constant swap in blue and red between each side is supposed to represent that. The idea that nothing is black and white. No side stronger or weaker, no person without sin or salvation, no game of chess where the colors never swap.
;___; Its kind of a theme is pretty much everything that I draw.
TvT There is an illusion here....if you look at first, it looks like they are staring right at each other. But if you look closely at were they each sit, you'll notice they are on different planes on the board, in actuality looking directly past each other and not noticing. TvT So hopefully you see the symbolism here.
xD Also, why are the chess pieces all white? Because "when two kings are at war, their subjects are all the same". Really, it becomes a battle between just them and everyone else is irrelevant. That is what happens when you can't see what it right in front of you.
